Responsibilities

  • Drive product sales by building strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and recommending tailored technology solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and evaluating potential prospects.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships by providing continuous support, insights, and innovative solution recommendations.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery by following and improving company standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies through continuous learning, workshops, and professional networking.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve company goals and contribute to overall business growth.
  • Support team development by mentoring junior members, sharing knowledge, and helping improve workflows and processes.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong understanding of IBM Power ecosystem, including hardware architecture, PowerVM virtualization, and operating systems such as AIX, IBM i, and Linux on Power.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud and virtualization strategies, particularly IBM Power Virtual Server (PowerVS) within hybrid cloud environments.
    • Solid knowledge of IBM Storage solutions and their integration with enterprise and virtualized infrastructures.
    • Ability to position modern workloads such as Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and AI/ML applications on Power-based infrastructure.
  • Sales Experience:

    • Minimum 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure sales, with at least 3 years focused on server or storage solutions.
    • Proven consultative selling approach, with the ability to identify client challenges and deliver tailored technical solutions.
    • Experience managing complex sales cycles, including RFI/RFP processes and contract negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Education & Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified Sales Specialist – Power Systems or Enterprise Storage Sales are preferred.
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel approximately 20% as required for client meetings and engagements.
